My journey in agribusiness began in 1990 while working alongside my father, Mr. Veeru Mal, where I learned the enduring values of integrity, quality, and commitment. In 1998, the export business was initiated with the vision of representing Pakistan’s agricultural products in international markets. Building on this experience, Kanwal Trading was formally founded in 2000 as a professionally managed agribusiness enterprise. With over 35 years of experience in Pakistan’s business sector, Kanwal Trading has grown into a trusted and reputable name in both domestic and international markets.

Over the years, Kanwal Trading has achieved several important milestones, from establishing advanced processing facilities that transitioned the business from conventional trading to value-added agribusiness, to expanding internationally with offices in Singapore and the United Kingdom. The company’s journey is built on decades of hard work, trust, and family values, and today, with the next generation joining the business, Kanwal Trading continues to pursue excellence, sustainability, and innovation while honoring the legacy of their forefathers.

With a global outlook, Kanwal Trading has expanded into international markets and actively engaged with private and government authorities. Its reputation is built on long-term partnerships and delivering on promises, exemplified by contributions to initiatives such as the zero-trade duty framework for sesame seeds between Pakistan and China demonstrating a strong commitment to promoting Pakistan’s agribusiness on the global stage.
